Japanese girls fan dance

Here are our girls doing their beautiful fan dance at the production. The boys ninja dance will follow very soon.

Questions

Thanks to our wonderful quad blogging friends we have some questions to answer, so here we go;
What kind of swords were you using? (Bailee) We made our swords out of poster board, paint, and glitter glue.
Where did you leearn the ninja moves? (Layne)  We practiced at school for 2 weeks to get all the moves right, our teacher helped us.
Did you have your production at school? (Laurel) We got to go to a real theatre for our production. It was very exciting, with real lights and a stage and dressing rooms. We don't even have a stage at our school so it was very special for us.
What kinds oof fans did you use in thefan dance? (Bailee) We made our fans ourselves from paper, crayons, and iceblock sticks. We laminated them to make them stay strong.
Were there lots of people at the production? Yes, the theatre had 314 seats. All of our friends and family were able to come watch us.
How many children in your class? We have 22 children in our class. We are all year ones, but some of us are 5 and some of us are 6 years old.
Do you learn Japanese at your school? We have been learning some words of Japanese in our classroom, but mostly at school we speak English and a little bit of Maori.

Thanks for all your questions. It is great to learn about people in other places.

We were learning about Japan for the production. We made a fan dance and a ninja dance. We looked very good on the stage.
