Tiwai

Tiwai are very cool. They gave us sunblock. We have enough sunblock to last till next year. It hangs on the wall. Thank you Tiwai. We love you.

Jandal Day

Today is Jandal day. We are wearing jandals to raise money for the lifeguards. Miss Nielsen has a giant jandal on the wall. We can wear it like a backpack.

Friday 3 December

Sorry we have not posted our messages this week. We have been at swimming every morning. It is fun.

Today we had our first day of swimming. Almost everyone remembered to name all their belongings. Dont forget we have swimming from Monday to Thursday this week and next week. We will be walking to the pool so remember to bring your jacket and your vest every day.

Writing time

New Children

There are 9 new children in Room 3 this term. We think they are great. 

Erica, Madison, Devyn, Max, Brooklyn, Rico, Taylor Rose and Dontae.

End of term

It is almost the end of term 2. We are halfway through the year. Sadly we have to say goodbye to 4 people on Friday. Caleb, Emil, Brooke and Rachel are all going to be in Room 2 next term. We are getting 8 new people from Room 1 coming to our class next term. Keep watching for a photo of them next term.

The children have been learning how to take photos of themselves at work and play. Here are some pictures that they have taken at lunchtimes.

The children are getting to be very good at focusing the camera. Well done Room 3!

We have now walked 2434841 steps. That is a lot of steps. That equals 973km. Keep on walking room 3!

Marae Trip

On Thursday we went to the Marae.

We went there on a bus.

We had to get a special welcome before we went inside.

They gave us a yummy morning tea.

There was a fun playground. We are turning into monkeys.

 We went to Stirling Point and saw the chain that goes to Stewart Island.

We have been learning about shapes. We went on a shape hunt around our school. We found shapes everywhere.
